Moved house and purchased the above which was installed and wired in eventually about 4/5 months ago. It worked for 3/4 weeks and stopped. I have been trying on and off since then without any success. The installer returned and also had no success . Basically it will not connect via ethernet cable or wifi. I am really disappointed that after upgrading to this more expensive item nothing is happening. I am not technically minded so need simple steps to follow before I through it into the bin in frustration. Should it need replacing ? Seems like there are many issues with this product.

    Hi @MJB1804. It would be helpful if you can provide some more detail on what is happening when you try to connect your Doorbell Elite to the internet. Are you receiving a specific error message in the Ring app during the connection process? Do you see any lights on the Doorbell itself when the connection fails? Feel free to share any screenshots or pictures that demonstrate what you're seeing on your end.

      Hi When I try to set it up firstly when asked to check if the white circle light is moving around, the light is on but not moving around as in the help video where you can see clearly the movement. There is some movement but nothing the example. When asked to connect to wifi it cannot find wifi and when checking in settings there is no ring wifi shown. The system did work for a few weeks when first installed and I have been trying unsuccessfully ever since to get it to work. The installer has been back a few times without success and is reluctant to return without payment again. It has been a longtime coming up to a year since it was installed and I am still have no working door camera/bell. Could it be faulty ? All my cameras with ring work without issues.

        @MJB1804 A solid white LED light indicates that the Doorbell Elite is connected to the wiring and receiving power. The setup process should advise you to put the Doorbell into setup mode, which can be done by pressing and releasing the small black button in the top right corner on the front of your Doorbell Elite. If the Doorbell isn't in setup mode, it will not broadcast the Ring setup network. If you cannot get the Doorbell to go into setup mode, I'd recommend following up with our support team at one of the numbers available [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406) for further assistance.
