Ring doorbell Light stays on

Question

Charged all night. As soon as I put it on the door started to make a buzzing sound. Tried to hard reset, sounds stopped but the light in front stays on. App won't activate it. Please help

Hey @Nado63. When the Doorbell is hardwired, it is getting a trickle charge from the existing power supply, which will then leave this white light on. This white light will stay on as long as the power is still being supplied from the wiring to the Doorbell. Could you please let me know what Doorbell you have, what you mean by not activating, and what the RSSI is for your Doorbell? Happy to help out further with that! :)
