Ring Doorbell 2nd Gen Totally unresponsive

We have a 2nd gen Ring Doorbell that has worked well for exactly a year (53 weeks). I have 2 batteries for it. When replacing the battery for the latest charge, the device does not respond in any way. I recharged both batteries over 24-hours and tried again with both, but the Doorbell does nothing -- no lights or response of any kind. Is there anything else I could try -- other than spend on a third battery? Direct power isn't an option I'm afraid.

    Hi @user24504. Start by inspecting the battery slot and make sure there is nothing in there obstructing the battery from being fully inserted. Next, try performing a reset on the Doorbell by pressing and holding the setup button for 20 seconds, then releasing.
