Byron 776 with TWO wired Ring Doorbells
Hi Guys, I recently purchased a wired Ring Doorbell, great bit of kit, so purchased another for the front of the house. This cable is run around 10 meters away from the Byron 776 unit. My first doorbell works fine, however, when wiring the second using the same 0 and 3 terminals I got a loud buzzing, sounded like arcing. when using other terminals the second ring unit would not power up. Does the Byron system have the ability to power both units simutainiously? If so, how would I go about wiring this up? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Cheers :slight_smile:

couple of these: https://www.screwfix.com/p/british-general-fortress-8-24v-ac-8va-bell-transformer-module/8707p and a couple of these: https://www.screwfix.com/p/wylex-nh-ip40-2-module-unpopulated-din-enclosure/32311 is the cheapest way to get it done. You can also get a single enclosure (need 4 module) but they jump up in price as they are mostly metal now for the bigger stuff (not needed for this use).

I highly doubt it can do two - its right at the low end of the requirements for a single unit - you will need a transformer which is giving at least 20VA to power both from one. You could also just replace the whole thing with an electrical enclosure and install one transformer per doorbell in it.
