Google Sidewalk??Hello @Tgt75 ,If you are referring to the Ring Alarm system (Intruder Alarm Detection system), your Alarm Base Station remains Z-Wave connected to the all the battery-powered Contact and Motion sensors, and the Base Station has a 24-hour backup battery with the ability using the built-in cellular backup to maintain connection to your Ring App and Professional monitoring. So your security is still there during an outage and you remain protected. :)But if you are referring to the Ring Doorbells and Ring Security cameras (Surveillance monitoring system), your cameras need Wi-Fi to record/store videos and maintain a connection to your Ring App, then currently your surveillance system unfortunately will not function during the outage (since the Wi-Fi router will be down). Is there something in the works for the camera system? I personally do not know. The "Sidewalk" feature also needs Wi-Fi, so it is doubtful that this could be an alternative for extensive outage areas. :(I hope you find this information useful. :)
