Wired Stick Up Cam loses wifi connectivity after power outage

I have recently had a couple of brief power outages to my home. I have noticed that when the power comes back on, the Wired Stick Up Cam loses its wifi connectivity, meaning the camera feed goes offline in the app. I have realised this is caused by the wifi router taking just slightly longer to boot up than the stick up cam. So the camera boots up, finds the setup wifi network is unavailable, and then stays in an offline state. Then very soon after, the wifi becomes available, but by this point its too late, the camera does not try connecting again. The only way to resolve this issue is to power cycle the camera at the mains, which requires physical access. So if I have a power outage on day 1 of a trip away, I lose my camera feed completely with no way of remotely fixing. Has anyone else encountered this issue? I would have hoped Ring would have done some power outage testing of the product to ensure it remains resilliant in the face of power outages.

Hi @jimmy1751. Ring devices do automatically attempt to reconnect to wifi if they lose their connection. In this case, since the router takes longer to boot up and restore the wifi network, the Stick Up Cam isn't able to automatically reconnect. Unfortunately there isn't a way to remotely reconnect a Ring device to wifi. If power outages are common in your area, you might consider some type of backup power source to keep your network online during an outage.
