Ring spotlight Cam -Mains Adaptor

I’ve purchased a mains adapter for my Ring Spotlight Cam battery. When I first installed it - it showed connected to solar but wasn’t charging the battery. Now it’s showing not connected. I’m at a loss as to know what’s wrong!

Hi @user42296. The original Spotlight Cam Battery is not compatible with any mains adapters to trickle charge the battery. It is only compatible with a Solar Panel to trickle charge the battery. The new Spotlight Cam Plus Battery is compatible with an adapter that converts it into a wired Camera. Can you confirm which Spotlight Camera you have? You should be able to find the model name in the Device Health section of your Camera in the Ring app.
