My two Security Cams do not record at night

Hi, my devices seem to stop nearly all recording at night, all they do record is a few seconds on the hour, so 11:12, 12:12, 1:12 etc. I’ve had them for months but dont believe they have ever recorded during the night until I started checking. I live is a fairly bust (30 cars) street so always someone coming & going. On Virgin Broadband but internet works fine for other devices, lights etc Any help, ive tried the things i’ve found online

Hi @142536. If your Ring Camera is connected to wifi and you have a Ring Protect plan, it will record when motion is detected or the Live View is activated. The change in lighting from day to night may impact motion detection slightly, as things farther out from the camera may be less likely to be detected. I’d recommend adjusting your Motion Zones and Motion Sensitivity as needed, and testing out the motion detection after making changes. Additionally, make sure to check your Modes settings and ensure you don’t have motion detection turned off in a particular Mode. It sounds like you’re also already using the Snapshot Capture feature, which allows you to have your device take snapshot images at a set interval. It gives you an idea of what’s going on between detected motion events. For further support, feel free to reach out to our support team.
