Cameras won't connect
After a power outage some cameras stickups and spotlights won't reconnect. I tried every thing and no go. Even called tech support and orange button and everything.I reset my linksys velops and everything no luck. I upgraded to the Verizon home internet wifi 6e router and all is good. Cameras work fine. But I need mesh to reach my whole five thousand two hundred and eighty sq feet house. So I use ip passthrough mode and then 5 linksys velops around the house. But after ip passthrough the cameras never connect to my velops. Not sure why they won't work as they always used to. Someone on reddit said ring cameras only use eight zero two period eleven a/b/g/n/. No AC or ax. Is this true? Maybe my router has no legacy options? Verizon gateway had a legacy mode and a compatibility mode. Maybe new routers don't do legacy.I even bought the base station pro with eero. No luck. The lady on the phone said it can't be my main router. She did not understand. It can be the main router or an extender. That is why eero is builtin in. She said the wifi is only for the contact sensors etc. Not the cameras. But then why it shows in the eero app and connects my phone and TV. It is not just for ring devices. What am I doing wrong? Only some old cameras connect. But some don't. And 2 new spotlight cam plus from home Depot do not connect either. Gets stick at 95 percent and then says hmm something went wrong.
