Camera stops recording

I've had the ring camera for several years now and as of late it's no longer picking things up or just stops recording in general. Now, the battery is fully charge, the motion settings are set to high, etc.. We start to noticed this a few updates ago and thought it was my wifi, well, it's not. It has a strong wifi signal. I can hear and see cars, people, etc go buy and nothing is picked up on the camera, but the garden flag moves and the camera goes nuts some times. Also to add, my daughter also has the ring camera and she's experiencing the same thing after her last update.
