Anyone elses bill gone up 40% without being notified?

Hello! This month my by has gone up 40%... I know cost of living is going up and inflation may rise above 10% but if all our bills went up 40% without any notification we would be bankrupt! Is it a little poor the increase is not in line with inflation, could it go up 40% each year? Soon be £15 a month for a ring door bell subscription, part of the appeal was low cost to record a few unwanted visitors outside your house although this usp may disappear fast...
