Trouble with Schlage BE469ZP
smart-lock
troubleshooting

I have (2) different houses that are secured with Ring Alarms. Each of those houses, I have added in a Schlage BE469ZP Smart Deadbolt. House #1 - Works great! I'm able to receive notifications when the door is manually locked and unlocked (via the turn piece) - and any App initiated Lock/Unlock, the App will immediately update it's status to reflect it's confirmed state. House #2 - I just installed the BE469ZP the other day. I was able to add it to my Ring system without any issues - and install all the user codes, etc. This one however behaves a bit differently than House #1. I'm not receiving any status updates/or alerts when the door is manually locked. When I initiate a lock/unlock via the App - it does perform it's request, however it shows an error message in unable to get status.. Eventually, the App will then update and reflect it's status. I thought perhaps it it was a signal issue between the Ring base station and the door, and moved the base station closer - and still didn't resolve the issue. Looking for suggestions on what next to try. Thanks!

Hi @bwolfman. These are some steps you can try for your concern: - Double-check that lock and unlock notifications for the Smart Lock are enabled in the Ring app. - Verify that there is nothing that can interfere with the signal besides distance. For example, any other electronics around the Smart Lock and Base Station could interfere with the signal. - If you are using non-rechargeable batteries for the smart lock and the environment is experiencing extreme cold temperatures, make sure they are brand new non-rechargeable batteries because they do not perform well in the cold, especially if they are not new. If you have tried these steps and are still having the same concern, give our support team a call at one of the numbers available [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406) for further assistance.
