Can I buy only base station & siren?
alarm
cs-support

I own a Ring doorbell, Schlage digital lock, 3 video cameras, and 3 compatible First Alert smoke/co2 detectors. I also subscribe to Ring Protect Pro. Can I buy just the base station, siren, and 1 door sensor to setup Ring alarm? Or do I have to buy a kit? I don’t need the other components in the smallest kit.

Good question @TLANJ! Our Alarm system is sold in kits only, in which the 5 piece kit is the recommended starter kit. Of course, accessories can be purchased separately, but the Base Station will only come with an Alarm Kit. I hope this helps! :)

Hey Marley, Ring may need to change the fact they don't sale a base station by itself. Here is why and you may want to advise cooperate. I'm having major issues right now just for this reason. I have had Ring Equipment and yearly monitoring for around 3 years or more. I'm a full time fire fighter and work 24 hour shifts so monitoring when I'm away is important being I can not always get to my phone for self monitoring. I bought a kit when I first started. I have 2 ring doorbell cams, 2 Stick up cams, keypad, ring bridge, mail box sensor.. you name it I have it. I've been adding stuff for a few years. well my base station decided to give out on me. I can not complain on the equipment, mine has been good to me through the years.. The base station going down was my first real issue. It would not connect to the internet. I've been through 3 or 4 calls to customer support, they even sent me to advanced support, just to be told its not the base station its my internet.. which I called my internet service as the advanced support asked me to, and they said its not their equipment. I finally talked to a lady in Ring support, and she told me to basically go buy a base station kit at Best Buy and see if it signs in. Now just so you know, All my equipment has signed in fine, except for my base station which has been down for a couple of weeks now. So I went to best buy spent 300.00 for the kit with the same base station as mine, and it signed right in no problem. I reset it and put it back in the box and took it back to get a refund.. So basically I used local new equipment to help the advanced guys with their trouble shooting. I let them know via replied emails for 48 hours now and no one gets back to me. at this point I was ready to buy a new base station just to avoid dealing with customer support again and again and again. But when online to get the base they only come with kits which I have everything in. so now I either, have to have customer support replace my old one, being its supposed to be under warranty, if I ever get up with them again. or buy a whole new ring kit and keep the extra.. for 300.00 then get my yearly monitoring again 100.00. or sale everything I got and go to a new company.. which honestly that's not fair to the customers who have stayed with and invested.. not to just be able to buy the base station. If customer support was very good at RING or even average.. I would have no problem.. but the way they have handled me this last week, to only not answer, or reply within a reasonable time frame, I think I will be searching for a new product with a support team knows how to troubleshoot, replace, sale, update, a product when needed. the equipment is good, but the way they handle malfunctions is very sad. Remember I am a customer and have been for awhile now. I'm invested and have yearly plans. if I cant get something repaired or replaced, or hassled when I try to, its really not an investment is it?

Hi @whoizitcc69. I'm sorry to hear you haven't received a solution from our support team yet. We appreciate you sharing your feedback on this matter, but the Ring Alarm Base Station is not available for purchase on its own and must be purchased with a kit. Since you haven't heard back from support regarding your troubleshooting ticket, I'd recommend following up with them via one of the numbers available [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406). If your Base Station does need to be replaced under the device's [warranty](https://ring.com/warranty), support can help get that taken care of.
