Ring Controller Pro Power

Currently, my doorbell on my gate is battery powered, and my gate is solar powered. Is it possible to use the Ring Solar Panels to power the Ring Controller Pro? I would rather avoid having to have power run to the gate because of the distance.

Hey @dbbaskette. Since the Ring Access Controller Pro is not battery operated it would need constant solar power to function. If you are to avoid the ethernet option and go cellular, it will need a power supply of the following: Device: 5V AC 1A, Adapter: Input: 100-240V~0.3A 50/60GHz, Output: 5.2V AC 1.8A. You can achieve this with the USB cord that is included. For more information on the Access Controller Pro you can visit our[Ring Help Center Article here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360038092272-Ring-Access-Controller-Pro-Information) and [here for installer instructions](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360037202512-Ring-Access-Controller-Pro-Installer-Instructions).
