Motion Sensor too far from base station?
troubleshooting
My siren went off late at night but failed to wake me so I moved it into my bedroom which is upstairs at one end of the house. Now a basement motion sensor is giving me a weak signal warning. I moved a Chime Pro to that part of the house to support the cameras there and their RFI is fine but how do I boost the signal to the motion sensor? It's near an access point to the house and important that it responds well and quickly to any intrusion. This is not dependent on wifi right? It's a signal going directly to the base station?

Hi @user_b898f9. You are correct. Ring Alarm sensors like the Motion Detector do not connect to your Wi-Fi. They connect via Z-Wave to your Base Station. Your system should have come with an Alarm Range Extender, which is used to extend the signal to sensors that are too far from the Base Station. Do you have yours?
