I just had the same question. I called customer support and got a person who clearly did not know any of the answers to my questions and after a lot of shuffling papers she said I would have to cancel my subscription for my first ring camera to get the refund and then sign up for both cameras again. I told you that didn't sound like the right thing to do after having a subscription for 3 years, that there should be an ability to prorate my bill for the second add-on and new plan. She said unfortunately not I am the one you need to talk to. Then proceeded to tell me all of the details she saw on my account which I already knew like what kind of camera I had. I hung up and read this community post and got all the answers I needed so very grateful for this

Yes, you will be refunded the remaining amount on the previous subscription. I just did this and received the refund.
