The Chime and Chime Pro will both play audible alerts when there's a visitor at your door, however, the main difference between them is that the Chime Pro acts as a wifi extender for your Ring devices. You'll want to purchase the Chime Pro if you need a wifi extender for one of your Ring Doorbells or Cameras. I hope that helps clear up the difference. :)

  Hello Caitly how strong is that wifi extender? would it help even if chime pro is installed right next to my router? or should it be installed in the room closest to the camera with the weakest wifi signal?
