Shared access (granting and revoking)
We have multiple ring devices around the house. I am curious as to if a shared user who has been set up and access granted to devices, would be notified by the app if I was to subsequently toggle their permissions periodically ? I.e I want the shared user to be able view a particular camera but for privacy there are times when I do not want them to have access to a particular camera. I however don't want them receiving notification each time I opt for privacy. Alternatively as the owner is there a way to turn the camera off for a period of time where I don't want it to be active.

The email I receive does not have a link for me to accept the invitation. It simply gives me a link to create an account, which I already have. It says if I already have an account I should tell the account user to add me, which my husband has done, multiple times. That generates the very same email to me, again with no link to accept the invite. A vicious circle. What gives? How do I get access to our device through my ring app!

CHi @SW4672. Have you checked to see if the location appears in your Ring App yet? One you are added as a Shared User and the invitation goes through, you will have a new location in your Ring App that has "(Shared)" in the name of it that you can toggle to. Try tapping the location name in the top center of your Ring App to see if you have the shared location. If not, I'd suggest reaching out to our support team if this concern persists and you're unable to be added as a Shared User after multiple attempts. You can give our support team a call at one of the numbers available [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406).

Hi @Dan91. Although the Shared Users won't receive a notification that they're access has been removed, you will have to go through the process of adding them as a Shared User again. This means they will have to accept the invitation via their email to receive access once again. You might also be able to solve this with Modes for Cameras. When in a specific Mode, you can determine if a Camera records or has the ability to Live View. You can learn more about Modes [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360036107792-Control-All-your-Ring-Cameras-with-Modes). I hope this is helpful.
