Ring Setup
I have a question. My husband set up the Ring doorbell and an outdoor camera and I am the secondary user on the registry, but now he is not there and I need to set up the cameras with my username, but when I go to connect them, it tells me that they are already registered and that I have to wait 15 days for him to respond to the email that Ring sent him. I don't want to wait 15 days, and I tried to reset it to factory settings and it doesn't work. Does anyone know how I can fix it and be able to connect them to my username? Thanks a lot

This says you posted 04/01/2025, maybe it was 01/04/2025? Today is January 5th 2025. If you have your husbands login , you can log in with his credentials and deactivate the device, that is faster than waiting the 15 days. Then log back into yours and do "add new device" which should have you scan the qr code and start from fresh setup.

Hi @user_066b57. Ring devices can only be set up under one Ring account. Resetting a device does not remove it from the account. Either your husband will need to remove the devices from his account in the Ring app, or you will have to follow the device ownership transfer process. If you were added as a Shared User, you should have access to view the devices in your Ring app, but not make any changes to the settings.
