would it be possible to use the ring access controller pro with a garage door assuming the door opener works by simply bridging two pins?

How could it not work for a garage door opener? What are the relay contacts for?I haven't been able to find any real manuals for this, and I don't want to purchase one through the buisness for "R and D" purposes.

I installed recently an gate access controller to open a gate strike. When you press the “button” on the ring app, it closes contact for about 5 sec. ( not exact time). So if you garage door access to “close” contact for 5 sec or more, it would most likely work. Please be aware that you have to call ring to activate the unit. They also mandate you to have an amazon account linked to your ring account. Process also will ask to approve activate of the controller via amazon. It was an lengthy process. If i may suggest, at the cost of the unit, i would get a new garage door opener.
