Mesh Networks

Hi I have a doorbell and 3 outdoor cameras. For WiFi, I'm currently running Sky with around 4 Q boxes that repeat the signal. Everything is fine during the day. The boxes are set for ECO so switch off at night so of course, the Ring products try to connect back to the router which is constantly on. In the morning, when the Q boxes come back on, the Ring products don't auto sense there's a better device available on the mesh. Is it possible to get a product feature request to perhaps sense there's a better netwrok available every few minutes - just like the iPhone does as you move around the house ? Regards Andy

Thank you for sharing with the Community, @andy90210! As we value our neighbors' feedback, we have indeed created a [Feature Request board](https://community.ring.com/t5/Feature-Request-Board/idb-p/Feature_Request_Board). Feel free to add this and any future feature requests there. This will help us to organize and share your requests with our teams here, as well as allow other neighbors to comment and add interest, all in one place. In the meantime, I recommend checking for any advanced network settings that might allow you to prioritize or add rules to the connected devices on your network. This might allow you to allow certain devices to switch over from eco mode even quicker, rather than waiting for a Ring device to see the connection update, for instance. At this time, your Ring device should connect to the access point with sufficient resources. This means, even when a new access point is introduced, if the existing one is still adequate, the Ring device may not switch connections. I hope this helps! :)

You have 24x7 devices running, my suggestion would be for your mesh network to continue to run fully as well and not in eco mode. That said, I've noticed that especially after a power outage, my cameras may not connect to the closest access point, if a futher away one came back online before the closest one. I do reset them at that point.
