Contact sensor for detached garage

I have a detached garage about 75 feet from my base station and cannot get a contact sensor to connect. I have a camera and a chime pro both installed and working in the garage. I have tried a range extender plugged into the exterior wall closest to the garage, but the contact sensor still will not connect. Is there anything else to try so that I can secure the access door?
