Android 12 update broke RING app audio playback
After my Samsung Galaxy Note S20 Ultra updated to Android 12, the RING app got buggy and does not play audio when viewing on any History video captures. Video plays normal but there is no audio or the audio comes on and off in spurts. Something with Android 12 has affected the audio playback. I hope RING provides an update fix for this! Viewing the same video captures on Windows app, RING website, older Android 9 phone and iOS apple app work normally with audio playing back fine. Just Android 12 broke something with the Android RING app. Please investigate and fix it.

Hi, there is nothing on the users end that will fix this bug with the RING app. The problem is that somehow the RING app code is causing the bluetooth connected devices like my Samsung WATCH 4 to make a phone call. This is so obviously a bad bug. The RING app should have nothing to do with causing Android to attempt to make phone calls when viewing video captures. There is most definitely a bug in the code that developers need to go fix. Google Android, Samsung Wearable and RING app developers need to get together to figure out just why it is trying to make phone calls!

I would suggest starting there, as well as ensuring the Ring App on your Samsung Galaxy is fully updated.
