Ring Doorbell Update Concerns and Warranty Question
I recently bought a Ring Doorbell but haven’t installed it outside yet because I’ve noticed an issue. The doorbell flashes a white light 3-4 times a day, and after doing some research, I found out it does this during updates. I’m a bit hesitant to install it outside because I’m concerned that the flashing light might bother my neighbors, and they might think I'm recording something. It’s pretty noticeable every time it starts updating. Also, I’ve noticed that when it's updating, the Ring app doesn’t work at all. Is there a way to turn off or control these updates? If not, should I be considering a warranty claim? I purchased it from JB Hi-Fi Australia. Any advice would be appreciated.
