Provide camera state via API
It would be great if camera state (eg armed, disabled, etc) was available via the API so it can be consumed by Alexa, IFTTT, Home Assistant. This would allow home automation systems check current camera state (and/or mode of the overall system) on a schedule and take action, eg at 23:00 send reminder if camera is disabled. Currently the information available seems limited to motion events. Even better would be possibility of changing modes (using a security pin) via API, eg Home Assistant set ring mode to away based on geofencing trigger.

Hello, @MrLister. What API is this? Is there a publicly available API, as I could not see one when I looked?

Hi, Ring is a great system and working well, but there are many smart things in a home additionally to the Ring devices. Today it is a must have to interact with for example other lights, switches or smart things. So we need a functional API using with Home Assistant and others to switch Ring lights, setting mode or showing the live cam. I'm a Protect Plus user with some devices and could not use in all ways I like because there is no full interface. Please open your system and expand your user. Regards Steffen
