Need 4K Cameras

I live in an upper middle class neighborhood and lately we have been having people of other neighbors breaking into our cars and houses.  Many of us have Ring floodlight cameras and have images of both the car and the perpetrators.  The problem is that Ring has been useless at providing any useful images.  Anything more than 5 feet away is too blurry to provide any useful detail. All of my neighbors have the same view (no pun intended).  While the software and functionality are great the poor image quality makes these cameras all but useless for one of main reasons it was intended for...to protect our homes.  We are all looking at different brands at this point.  I don't understand why Ring refuses to upgrade their technology and release 4K or better cameras.  Cloud storage is cheap and Ring could even charge more for those with 4K.  I would personally be willing to pay a reasonable premium for this.  I am tired of the response from Ring that there is no update on this.  I'm sure there is...they just aren't willing to share it.
