Introduce RING Starter as a Protect Plan
Hi I have a few RING camera’s at my home as well as the doorbell. I plan to purchase more camera’s as time goes on. Please can RING consider a Starter option that is more affordable. I don’t see why the Basic plan one must pay per device. It all should be per house hold. Perhaps the Starter option could have similar to the Basic plan, but covers a household and even 1 day of video recordings with an option to download as well will be beneficial. All i want is the ability to download a video in the event something has happen. Regards Andre

I can see why Ring wouldn‘t let anybody download videos as they want to retain ownership of everything that is produced and saved on their company owned servers.But I do agree that the protection plans are not user friendly. These are security devices and having to pay for simple features that allow you to have more security is questionable. For instance, I only want to have screenshots (rich notifications) shown in my motion alerts but I cannot pay $5 per month just to have this simple feature added. Would be great if Ring would allow for users to only pay for the services they need instead of the current plan structure. These devices are not cheap to begin with and on top are merely useless unless you subscribe with monthly payments. There are other providers on the market that provide simple features without any added pay, I am missing the safety/security first focus from Ring, to be honest.

UThank you for your reply. I agree with you. Even a "GIF" option with a 5 second video to download can help. Alternatively a household option that is affordable. How do we go about getting this to the attention of the Product team? A more affordable "Starter" option is all that is needed.
