Hardwiring voltage for Doorbell 4?

The website says use 8-24v but which is it for the Doorbell 4? My electrician set the transformer at 8 v to be on the safe side bit the battery is gradually discharging. Is it safe to set it at 24v? Thanks for any help!

Hi @user_d337ac. A Doorbell 4 is compatible with any transformer that meets these requirements: 8-24 VAC, 40 VA max, 50/60 Hz.
