Auto switch between modes using geofence.
Hey guys, could you please create the feature to automatically switch between modes using geofencing? As for now it is only possible to receive reminders using geofencing, but it would be much more useful that the cameras automatically switch to away mode when you leave and to home mode when you arrive back home instead of receiving a reminder to do it manually.

UHi, Is that the Ring's answer on this? I think it's an ompoertant feature. There are various ways to have it work, maybe just for the lead user. I don't think the blame issue is valid if it didn't set ie add a disclaimer. Support just told me I can't even get the reminders without a Pro device. No

CHi @user_18ec3b. The Geofence feature requires a compatible Ring Home subscription. Since the Geofence uses the Modes feature, it requires a Ring Home Standard or Premium plan. You can learn more about each Ring Home plan here.

Please!! Much needed. I’m about to go back to Abode for this sole reason. I need the alarm to arm when all phones leave the house.

UEven if it was a function that was going to be released tomorrow, they would not tell you about it. Not sure why that's their policy, but it is. Same with their products, no information until launch day. Ring has geofencing, it will tell you you've left the house and do you want to arm the alarm.

Not just Ring, it's the same for most products that have a geofencing model. It's almost impossible to do as the number of variables is too high.For example, if one person has a phone with geofencing activated, but other members of the household do not, geofencing could arm the alarm when you leave with others still in the house, causing false alarms.The retort is to have the option switchable, but again, the variables are too high: forget to set the right option and it only leads to trouble.Ring could also be in trouble in geofencing did not work and the house was broken into. The blame culture is too great for Ring, and others to risk invoking features like this.It's a subject that comes up regularly, but the answer is always the same. It's always best to hand the option to arm to the user, automation of this function causes more problems than its worth. It's a press of one button, its not really that difficult.
