Amazon Alexa + Ring
Works with Ring Compatible Devices - UK (EU)?
Theres a Ring webpage for America listing z-wave devices that are compatible with the American version of the Ring Alarm, [https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360026250452-Works-With-Ring-Compatible-Devices](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360026250452-Works-With-Ring-Compatible-Devices) I can't find any equivalent page for z-wave devices in the UK (or EU). I appreciate the American z-wave devices don't work in Europe (different frequency). Are there any compatible devices for the UK Ring Alarm ? Is this being worked on ?

Hi I have recently installed the ring alarm but have had the Yale Conexis lock for some time and was wondering how to connect the 2 I have the Z wave module installed and currently have the lock set up to work with Alexa and the Smartthings hub. Would like to know how you connected it to ring. Can't find anything on the web regarding this. Thanks.

CHey @MR89! At this time, any devices other than the ones [listed on here](https://en-uk.ring.com/pages/security-system) will not be able to work with the UK Ring Alarm system. Look out for future devices that we allow to be linked to the UK Alarm system!

MAdding the Yale lock to the Ring app is very simular to adding to the Smartthings hub, but I think I remember that you can't have two hubs connected to the lock, so you might have to remove the Smarthings link first. When I go to Devices/Alarm Base Station and click on the +, then click on Security Devices, I have a Works With Ring option. I pressed the button on the lock (the one you use to add key fobs) three times, and then clicked on the Works With Ring/ADD, and it immediately found the lock and configured it in the app. I'm attaching a screen shot. I think I installed the Ring app from US store (I live in the US and UK), so maybe the UK version doesn't include the Works With Ring option?

MThank you very much I disconnected from smartthings and it worked just as you said however it was asking for a 5 digit pin when connecting to the ring app. I tried the codes I may have used when setting up the Yale lock originally but didn't work. It said the code is written next to a QR code on the lock but I couldn't find anything. I disconnected the lock from the door to reset it but now have a constant alarm ringing from the door handle. I've left it disconnected for now and will give it a go again tomorrow and hopefully should be able to use a default 5 digit code if one is still required. Thanks very much for your help so far.

Hey neighbors! At this time we do not have any additional devices that are supported with the UK specific Ring Alarm kit. The only devices supported with the UK version of the Ring Alarm is the EU version of the contact sensor, the motion sensor, the keypad and the range extender. We are working diligently to be able to provide more products for this system. Although we just released it a couple months ago, we will keep our neighbors posted when we are able to introduce more devices that work with the [UK Ring Alarm](https://en-uk.ring.com/pages/security-system).

THi Chelsea, As it’s been nearly 20 months since you wrote this, could you please update us on the progress for additional UK compatible sensors and sirens? I see there are now monitored smoke sensors in USA, why are we so far behind?

CNearly 2 years since you responded @Chelsea_Ring . When will Ring actually start supporting the UK ?

TProbably never, guys. It's now more than half-way through 2024 and still no hints.I'm looking for contact sensors that work with it as Ring never put theirs on sale (thanks for that guys) and are more expensive than most. Really off-putting for adding any more Amazon-specific systems to a smart home setup.

I've just done this with my new Ring Alarm, quick question mine says the battery is drained, although when I check in the Yale app it's says full batteries (and they should be I just put them in the same time as the z wave module 2)... Does yours say the same? Much easier the integration via the Ring app, but like you, a shame it isnt linked to disarming the alarm.

MIt's been almost 2 months, so my memory is fading a bit, but I do think I saw something simular with Ring having dead batteries and the Yale app having 100%. Right now I have 100% for both, which is pretty good for daily use for 2 months. I think I might have removed and replaced the batteries, or maybe just give it some time to sync, it will work.

TCool thanks, have managed to fix mine by removing the device from the alarm, rebooting the alarm and then re-adding it. Now the battery status correctly reflects new batteries, fingers crossed it updates over time and that it doesnt kill the batteries (which when I last tried using ST Hub and the old Z Wave module, I found batteries lasted 4 weeks at best!)...

MFor battery life I got about 6 months with the batteries provided. Replaced with Duracell Plus, so that should last longer. Unfortunately, I ran into the same problem of Ring indicating the batteries are dead after replacement, so I removed and added the lock back to Ring. It works correctly now, but it looks like this is a limitation (problem) with the integration, and that it will have to done for every battery replacement. So maybe this is something to fix before we can have it as a official 'Works with Ring' device?

I have managed to integrate the Conexis L1 Yale lock with the ring alarm however something that hasn’t been noted here (apologies if it has and I’ve missed it) is in fact you can’t really remotely lock the lock without the handle being in an ‘up state’ for example if you enter your property you have to pull the handle down obviously, if you then attempt to lock the lock remotely the lock attempts it however you can here the mechanism within the lock trying to lock it but you have to physically list the handle for it to lock, you can lock the lock remotely but upon entering the property you then have to lift the handle to lock the lock once done you’ll then be able to remotely unlock/lock until you pull the handle down, I contacted Yale support about this and they confirmed that to remotely lock you have to be using one of their cylinder smart locks not a multi point lock which is what the Conexis L1 is, this is clear mis-advertising on Yale’s part, the remote unlocking is a nice feature to have but when you spend £50 on something you think is going to give you the ability to remotely unlock/lock it does leave a sour taste. I’m waiting to here back from the company I purchased from regarding a potential partial refund on the module as it actually only does half the job it’s advertised to do just bare that in mind if your purchasing the module to have the remote locking feature for the Conexis L1

Hi all, Apologies for resurrecting an old thread but I'm not exactly an early adopter lol. I was curious to know if this was possible, connecting the alarm base station to a Z wave module in the conexis L1 door lock. Bought all the parts and left it until I had some time. I tried added the module via the ring app on my android phone, no luck but on an iPad, success. The lock now shows up, can be locked n unlocked via the ring app, on both devices, result :-) Apologies, for clarity, UK ring user with doorbell n ring alarm

I asked the same question but no answers. I have been able to pair the Ring security hub with the Yale Conexis L1 lock. It does require the separate Yale Z-wave module. It allows me to lock and unlock from the main screen, which is way easier than using the Yale app. I was hoping maybe for arm and disarm of the alarm with locking the door, but maybe that will be a future software enhancment.
