Trouble connecting Schlage to Ring

I have 2 Schlage BE469 deadbolts. One connected fine. For the other, I click the add button in the Ring app. Then I hit the Schlage button, and I start to type in the 6 digit programming code. However, I get a red X after 4 numbers, because the lock thinks I entered my unlock door code incorrectly. I tried moving my range extender next to the door , but it didn't help. Any advice?
