How to get door chime sounds

How do you get open door chime sounds outside the limitations of the base station or keypads? We believe our son is autistic and he has managed to figure out to unlock the front door despite two locks. So now we have become dependent upon the ring system to notify us once that door is open which is simple enough to the settings. But our base station is downstairs and more often than not one parent is upstairs or the other one is at work. Beyond the keypads and base station what other options are out there to hear the front door open signal remotely throughout the home?
