Ring Solar panel in direct sunlight

I live in the metro- Phoenix Az. area. Does my solar panel need to be in absolute direct sunlight to charge the battery? I can’t really mount in direct sunlight and comply with my HOA. Please advise and thank you .

Hi @TDNWM. In order for the Ring Solar Panel to provide adequate charge to your Ring Device, it needs at least 4-6 hours of direct sunlight per day. A great way to accommodate so regulations is to direct the Solar Panel facing west so it gets direct sunlight in the evenings, but isn’t visible other hours of the day. I hope this helps!
