Ring Siren Showing "Finish Set Up"

Hi, my outdoor Ring siren is showing ‘finish setup’ in the app, even though the device is setup and working, is this normal?
No other device shows this when i click on them. Any help appreciated.

It goes through the whole set up all over again. Everything is working so I don’t get it. Should I reconnect the siren again maybe?

So to reinstall the siren, can I just remove the device in my Ring app & start the installation process again? I won’t have to press the reset button on the back of the siren? (I don’t really want to go back up the ladder to reset the siren). Any help appreciated.

So in short, can I just remove the siren in my app & restart the installation process without having to dismantle the siren & press the reset button? Please someone help, someone must have removed a ring product & re-installed it???

Hi @FlapjackUK. Have your tested the LED and Siren? If you haven’t done this, it could be the reason you are seeing the Finish Setup. Typically, the Finish Setup appears when there is still a step that needs to be completed. If you are going to remove this device and re add it, you will need to be physically by the device and possibly dismount it.

I have exactly the same bug, and I’m sure I completed all the steps. My phone did go to sleep sometimes during the initial setup, and the guide restarted from the beginning when I woke it, so maybe that has something to do with it. The siren is working fine, so I’m not too bothered.

Believe it or not, I just managed to fix it. I removed and re-added another device (range extender), and after completing setup for that device, a screen appeared with “devices still requiring setup” - and the siren was there. Running the whole setup procedure one more time for the siren, starting from that screen, seems to have done the trick! :slight_smile:
