Motion sensors not triggering hue


For some reason i am unable to get the Ring motion sensors to trigger my hue lights via Alexa routines.

Ive got the skill installed and made a routine i.e. when sensor detects motion, turn on X hue lights. However despite motion being detected the lights do nothing. I restarted my phone and reenabled the skill as per another article on here but it hasnt resolved the issue…


I’m having the same problem - routines were working properly before the AWS outage the other day. Since then, my routines that use Ring sensors as a trigger are failing.

Others on Reddit/Twitter have also reported the same thing. :frowning:

Is Ring aware and are they trying to fix it?

Our routines started working again at around 5pm GMT so all good now! How are things for other folks?
