I’m logged into my Ring account but I only see the option to share my video via Facebook, email, etc. but this shares a link to my video. How do I download it and save it to my computer?

Good question @Nickerz! After selecting to “Share” a video, you will be presented with several options. As you’ve observed there are social icons and the ability to get a link. There should also be a download icon, or downwards pointing arrow. This will save the video to your device.
If this symbol does not show up, or alternatively, generating a shared link and visiting the shared link, will present you with a download option for that video. I hope this helps! 
Thanks Marley for replying but your steps DON’T work. None of them. Have you actually used them? I’d expect to get help from a help forum but maybe you’re thinking of past steps that are outdated.
I can only attach 1 pic but I have screenshots showing even copying the link doesn’t provide a download icon!
So here are the actual steps to download a video as of today. Yeah, 6 ridiculous steps when all RING had to do is simply put it in the More icon (3 verticle dots)…
***How To Download A Video***
Since Ring made this more complicated than it should be, here are the steps…
- Open Ring Website
- Locate video, click on the “Share” button (below video, bottom, right corner) – yeah, you’d think it would be in the More icon but nope…b/c they wanna make it difficult!
- Select email to email yourself the video
- Open email & click on “Watch Now” (orange button)
- Now click on the More icon (3 vertical dots) – yeah, remember, it should’ve allowed you to do this in the first place, skipping unnecessary steps…
- Click on “Download” and save it to your PC.

Is it too much to ask Ring to make this simple!? Or is it really b/c you don’t want us downloading our own videos!?

I have tried these directions and it still doesn’t work. There is no “more” icon of three dots on the video.
Hey @sb103. When viewing the video, you may have a icon at the bottom right corner of the view that has a box with an arrow pointing up. If you click this option, you should have more ways to share or download the video.
Not sure why you’re having trouble with the steps. They work perfectly. After step 4 you will see your video and in the lower, right corner is the ‘More’ icon (3 verticle dots). Look at the 2 attached screenshots or click on the two links below…
After you click on the More icon, you get the download option…
Again, this all could be so much easier if Ring allowed the download option at the beginning but Ring insists on making it more difficult and adding
unnecessary steps than needed!

No Chelsea, this is NOT how it works! Initially, we are given a Picture in Picture option but NO download button. Clicking the share icon at this step simply gives you options to share your video but NOT download it. To download the video you MUST follow the 6 steps I posted above. This is the frustration I have with Ring. It SHOULD be easy with one step maybe two steps at the most but it’s not, instead we have to jump through hoops to simply download a video. See my 3 screenshots links below (as I can only attach 2 pics at a time)…
