I have a detached garage about 75 feet from my base station and cannot get a contact sensor to connect. I have a camera and a chime pro both installed and working in the garage. I have tried a range extender plugged into the exterior wall closest to the garage, but the contact sensor still will not connect. Is there anything else to try so that I can secure the access door?
Hi @TopCat61. Ring Alarm accessories do not operate off of WiFi. This means that just because you have a camera that works at those locations, does not mean a Ring Alarm accessory will also work there. Ring Alarm accessories operate off of a Z-Wave signal, which is more susceptible to environmental interference. The only option would be to move your Base Station closer.
