Can you see if and who deleted a video?

Is it possible to see if a motion recording has been deleted, and if so by which person or device? We have a ring doorbell and activity I was expecting to see wasn’t there and there’s a big gap where the recording should have been. A few people have access to the ring system so I’m trying to see if the camera didn’t capture the moment, or it has been deleted. An event log just saying a user has deleted a video would be enough to help me out. I at least know there’s something suspicious I should investigate.

You are unable to see who has removed a recording, and keep in mind that a shared user is not able to delete any recordings or videos. Therefore, any removal of recordings will be coming from the account owner that set up the device. If you are not seeing a recorded event, double check that the device is connected, operating as it should and that there was motion in front of it at the time. If you are certain on motion events happening that should be recorded, you may need to visit your Motion Settings for your device. If you are sharing account access at an owner level, there is no way to see the activity of these other devices. You can, however, control mobile device access through the [Control Center](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360038142272-Ring-Control-Center-Information) in the Ring app. Your [Control Center](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360038142272-Ring-Control-Center-Information) will allow you to remove authorized client devices if you believe someone might be deleting recordings. We recommend going to your Control Center to manage your account there as well. If you are still needing assistance with your device and recordings, we recommend following up with support [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406).
