Wired Doorbell Plug-In with an outdoor power socket?

Hello,  We currently have a Battery Doorbell 2 that is constantly going offline despite rebooting, unpairing and re-adding the device etc. and nothing resolves it. I almost missed an important medication delivery because of this! Unfortunately, It's out of warranty by a few months so we’re looking to upgrade.   We've been looking at the possibility of getting the Wired Doorbell Pro with the available plug-in kit. My question is, we have an outdoor weatherproof power socket near our front door that we've been using to charge our hybrid car. It's the type of socket that has a closing cover that creates a seal around the plug to block out any water - it is IP66 rated.  Would we encounter any issues with using the plug-in with our outdoor socket? We would ensure to route the cable so the majority of it is below the level of the plug socket to prevent water travelling along the cable and we can also add some cable covering/trunking to further protect the wire from the elements.
