Ring pro doorbell

Previously had version one and decided to replace it due to the crap bell push cracking after a year. Installed the newer version and have had nothing but grief. It connects then starts to update software and disconnects set up loads of times same result. Put the old one back works fine. Contacted support who informed me I should use the by pass kit even though I have new chimes from ring. These are designed to by pass on existing door chimes that are not ring. The call centre is based outside the U.K. and you get the same robotic answers for all the products now that Amazon own them. I am an electrical engineer so know my onions voltage ok signal ok all other ring products working some are over sixty feet away doorbell is only eight feet from router. Does anyone know a fix or do I go back to the ring robots to get it replaced
