Ring doorbell 3 hardwired but staying at 3%
hardwired-battery-video-doorbell

My doorbell started to have power issues about a few months ago, power source status is showing hardwired but it doesn't seem to have enough power for the doorbell, it's been staying at 3% ever since and occasionally disconnected to wifi. Replaced with the spare battery but still having the same issue, from fully charged and dropping more than 10% per day Firmware shows to be up to date. Does anyone have the same issue?

I spent time and effort hardwiring my device.. but sadly I constantly need to remove / recharge the battery.. Ring will not take / answer any questions about this really annoying situation.. their product is not fit for purpose when connected to the mains

Hi @user_6b748e. Which model of Ring Doorbell do you have? The model name is located on the Device Health page. Hardwiring a battery powered Doorbell can provide a trickle charge, helping to extend the amount of time between manual charges. However, the battery can also drain more quickly than it can be charged via the wiring. This can happen if the Doorbell is recording a lot of activity, or in extremely cold or hot weather.

The model is Video Doorbell 3. I've tried resetting the doorbell and keeping it at default settings, but there has been no improvement. It used to go up to 4-5 weeks on battery-only before hardwiring but now it's just getting worse.
