“Discover” Tile Needs to be Removed from the Ring App Dashboard
The large “Discover” tile should be removed from the Ring app Dashboard immediately. This is simply no excuse for including any type of marketing/advertising in an app that controls security devices – let alone taking up valuable real estate on the main screen. This is a SECURITY app, not a shopping app. Common sense dictates that the two categories of items that should appear on the Ring app Dashboard are ones that: * Need to be accessed quickly in an emergency * Are accessed the most frequently Obviously, neither the “Discover” tile (or the “Set Up a Device” link) qualify.

I don’t think this should even need to be said, but it is outright ridiculous that the vast majority of the Ring community is already paying for the ‘Protect’ service, and yet, we are bombarded with literal advertisements on the front page where I rely on checking security related video feeds. The last thing I want to see are ‘Ring Offers’ cluttering my screen. Move this to a separate submenu, not on the main dashboard that all users rely on. Disappointed.

Agreed 100% - STOP forcing adverts to us. This is such BS, we pay for a service and you feel you need to push more to us to make more money. This is SAD and users should have the option to remove what they want from our dashboard!! FIX IT!

Thankfully pihole can block this. For now, I'm actively telling people not to buy Ring when they ask my thoughts on system I purchased, primarily because of this.
