Difficulty Upgrade path for the new Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Pro!

Question

I was unable to attach mount my new Ring Floodlight Cam Pro in the same location on the brick wall that my original Ring Floodlight Camera was attached to without drilling new holes for the screw and electrical box. The original mounting plate was centered over the power cord coming through the brick wall, and fastened with four screws in the plate. Rings reconfiguration makes it impossible to install the new plastic mount where the metal back plate was because there is now a hole right where the the only mounting screw can be fastened. I guess Ring never thought of that when they fabricated a new plastic mounting plate for the Floodlight Pro Cam. I am shocked that they still haven't created a work around for all of the customers who are trying to upgrade their old Floodlight Camera with a new Floodlight Cam Pro. The only solution is to plug the four mounting holes in the brick and move the bracket down the wall so the wires will come through the top of the new plate and then drill a new hole and anchor in the brick for the single mounting screw. Why didn't they create a way to adapt the new floodlight cam pro to the original wall plate, without having to go through all this extra work. Or at least give upgraders a special mounting bracket made for those of us who want to upgrade. It's bad enough that our original Ring floodlight camera lights burned out in less than two years and the protective lens fell off three weeks ago, so their gear isn't very durable. Is there anyway to procure the plastic backplate that your UK users receive with their Floodlight Cam Wired Pro units for it looks like it will work better than the back plates they ship with the U.S. version? Thanks for your quick reply Tom. Yes, I tried to follow those directions. Unfortunately, they didn't fit my circumstance because the builder simply ran what appears to be grey exterior UF-B wire from inside the garage through a hole in the brick, which he caulked around. He then ran the wire directly into the round metal floodlight box, which he used as the electrical box instead of installing one in the brick veneer. So, my only option was to mount the plastic backplate directly to the brick wall with a 1.5 inch blue Tapcon and caulk all around it to keep out the rain water. Unfortunately, the builder left a very short length of UF-B wire to attach the floodlight to. When it gets warmer, I'm going to cut out a one foot square of drywall in the garage to see if he left a loop of wire inside the wall so I push a little more of it through the brick into the base of the Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Pro. Or, before replacing the drywall, I may cut a 4 inch round hole in the brick veneer to install a waterproof electrical  box, assuming the brick veneer is sturdy enough to handle the hole cutter. Anyway, this was the only option I could come up with for now. Thanks, Paul
