Unable to share Smart Light device with Shared Users

We have existing ring cameras and camera flood lights that our family has access to. We added a smart light device to provide detection of motion and light in our backyard for awareness and safety. After not being able to share this device across our family members (shared users) we called Customer Support. They advised only the account owner can see the device in their dashboard and receive notices if motion was detected. The capability is not available at this time to share this device type with shared users. Seems pointless to only allow the account owner push notices but not the ability to share with other users.
