  Hi @grogers. Are you referring to a Ring Chime or Ring Chime Pro that no longer rings when you have Alexa notifications enabled? Or are you talking about your internal mechanical or digital chime kit that the Doorbell is wired to? Additionally, what type of Ring Doorbell do you have? You can find this information on the original packaging, on the back of the Doorbell itself, or on the Device Health page in the Ring App.

  Thanks for your message. I’m referring to the video doorbell pro according to the device health and an inside mechanical doorbell chime. If you look back at the top of this thread you can see the original poster describing the problem. Look forward to your update. Thanks.

I'd like to confirm if it falls under the list of compatible chime kits for the Doorbell Pro, which you can find in our Help Center [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/209028546-Ring-Video-Doorbell-Pro-Chime-Kit-Compatibility-List).

  How can I link you back to a thread with the initial post? Maybe this will work. I replaced the mechanical chime inside the house with one that was on the recommended list. https://community.ring.com/u/CQuinn724 From January 8, 2020 Please let me know if you are able to review this thread?

Doorbell Announcements via Alexa devices shouldn't affect your mechanical chime, as Tom mentioned in that thread. What is the make and model of your mechanical chime kit? Is the [Pro Power Kit](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005974286-How-to-Install-Pro-Power-Kit-V2-for-Ring-Video-Doorbell-Pro) properly installed?
