I’m attempting to connect a ring light via a new echo dot 4th gen as the bridge. The ring app says I need to connect an Alexa compatible device and then enable ring in skills. I do this but it doesn’t do anything in the ring app. I’ve deleted/reinstalled, disabled and enabled skills in Alexa. No luck. I just can’t get it to connect. How should the normal process work with echo dot? Is this a product issue?

Hi @user8808. You can find the information we have on using your Echo device as a Smart Lighting Bridge in our Help Center Article [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360059329551-Using-your-Echo-devices-as-a-Smart-Lighting-Bridge). I'd recommend following the steps outlined there in order to get your Echo device set up as a Smart Lighting Bridge. If that doesn't work, please give our support team a call at one of the numbers available [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406). If you are outside of the US, please visit [here ](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-gb/articles/213608406)to see how to contact support.
