UK without subscription- what can I do?

Just so I'm clear, can you use home and away modes without a subscription? Can I use my alarm with my phone if bought before march 2023? What happens if I change the location of the alarm if I move house and what happens if I buy new sensors? I did contact ring support but didn't get anywhere Thanks
