Ring Solar Security Sign Not Working

Hi all. Been having trouble with two of my solar security signs. The first one had the strangest problem. Starting from the beginning, it worked fine for a month, but then the thing simply wouldn't light up at night. I figured it might just be an issue with the battery, so I went to a battery store and got a replacement. No luck. So I called up Ring support and they had me tell them the device code. So I picked straight it up (it is still on) and when I tilted it to look at the code, it lit up. So it was actually working, but only if it was orientated horizontally on its side and it did not work at all if it was orientated vertically standing up. Well Ring sent a replacement for me (really nice people on the support line) and I installed it on my lawn. Two days later, it seems the same thing is happening. I hold it straight up, doesn't light up. I tilt it to the side, it finally lights up. Does anyone know what is going on?
