Attempting to register existing system in new home.

I've just purchased a home with a fairly extensive Ring system already installed and I have no contact with the prior owner. They could be on the moon for all I know. I've already discovered the unfortunate issue where I can't register the base station, as it's already registered, and I'm not given the option to request a transfer of the system like it seems to let you do when scanning QR codes on individual devices. Based on what I've read from a few years ago, ALL registered devices (doorbells, door and window chimes, smoke alarms, the works) must be individually unregistered from the base station in order for the prior owner to unregister it, then I'd go about registering the base station myself and rebuilding the entire system as already installed. How am I to do this without any contact with the prior owner? Go around removing the batteries and hitting a reset button, if present on each device, then going back to the base station and attempting to register it? Is there any way to accomplish this or am I stuck with a lot of junk I can't use without investment in my own problematic base station and requesting each and every device in the home I already own to be transferred over to me?

Hi @user_c02b9c. For your Ring devices such as doorbells and cameras, you can follow the steps in the Help Center article listed below:   https://ring.com/support/articles/k8jn9/transfer-device-ownership   For your Ring Alarm Base Station, the previous owner will have to remove the device from their app. If this system was installed in a newly purchased home, other users have found that the realtor was able to find contact information from the original owners and able to remedy the situation that way.
