Make the ring action itself be controllable as an event in iot software

Basically I want to be able to place a battery powered button in my car and then "ring" the doorbell remotely when arriving home in bad weather circumventing the news to get out of the car to actually touch the doorbell. In SmartThings for example I see only a "refresh" event for the ring device. Having a ring option for this, Google, ifttt etc would be fantastic.
